ВВЕДЕНИЕ

Лексико-грамматическая разработка предназначена для студентов 3 и 4 курсов, обучающихся по специальности 23.02.07 Техническое обслуживание и ремонт двигателей, систем и агрегатов автомобилей. Время выполнения заданий – 1 час 30 минут.

Целью данной разработки является развитие и закрепление лексико-грамматических навыков в образовании и построении глагола-сказуемого в предложении в пассивном залоге в ходе изучения темы ‘Brakes’ (Тормоза).  Задачами разработки являются следующие:

1.     Добиться понимания технического текста автотранспортного профиля.

2.     Уметь находить в предложениях глаголы в пассивном залоге и правильно подбирать к ним перевод. 

3.     Отработать построение предложений с глаголом-сказуемым в пассивном залоге.

4.     Закрепить лексический материал технического текста через выполнение лексико-грамматических упражнений на пассивный залог.

Лексико-грамматический материал предлагается разного уровня сложности. Задания можно выполнять дифференцированно, выбирая наиболее подходящие по уровню знаний для каждого студента.

Тема «Основные компоненты и механизмы автомобиля» включена в рабочую программу учебной дисциплины ОГСЭ.03 Иностранный язык в профессиональной деятельности. Поэтому материал данной разработки является довольно значимым и актуальным в изучении агрегатов автомобиля и их составляющих. В данной разработке предполагается овладение студентами ОК01, ОК02, ОК03, представленных в учебной программе.

Task 1. Read the text. Find and underline the predicates in Passive Voice.

Brakes are used to slow or stop the car where it is necessary. It is one of the most important mechanisms of the car as upon its proper performance the safety of passengers depends. Car brakes can be divided into two types, namely: drum brakes and disc brakes. The drum type may be either a band brake or a shoe brake. Depending on their functions, the automobile has foot brakes and hand brakes (parking brakes). According to their mode of operation, the brakes are classified as: mechanical brakes, hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electric brakes. Brakes are controlled by the brake pedal.

Most braking systems in use today are hydraulic. This system consists of a master cylinder mounted on the car frame and wheel cylinders. When the driver pushes down on the brake pedal, it forces the piston to move in the master cylinder and brake fluid is delivered from it to the wheel cylinders. The piston movement causes brake shoes to move and the brakes are applied (the brake shoes are pressed against the brake drums).

The air brake uses compressed air to apply the braking force to the brake shoes.

Electric brakes use electromagnets to provide the braking effort against the brake shoes.

Formerly brakes were applied only to the two rear wheels, but now all cars are equipped with all-wheels brakes. Today many improvements are being made in brakes.

Task 2. Put the words in the sentences in right order.

Task 4. Translate the predicates in brackets in Passive Voice from Russian into English.

Car brakes (можно разделить) into two types, namely: drum brakes and disc brakes. The drum brake (подразделяются) into a band brake or a shoe brake. 

According to their mode of operation, the brakes (классифицируются) as: mechanical brakes, hydraulic brakes, air brakes, electric brakes. Brakes (приводятся в действие) by the brake pedal.

Task 5. Translate sentences into English. Don’t look into the text.

1.     Тормоза используются для замедления движения или остановки автомобиля.

2.     Тормоза управляются тормозной педалью.

3.     Электромагнит используется в электрических тормозах для создания тормозного усилия.

4.     В пневматических тормозах используется сжатый воздух.

5.     В настоящее время в автомобилях используются полноприводные тормоза.
