Цели: знакомятся с новыми словами по теме«Медиа», развивают умение работы в парах (сотрудничество), осваивают использованиетематических ЛЕ в речи, развивают умения диалогической речи, воспитать интереск печатном СМИ.
Планируемые УУД
Регулятивные УУД: планироватьсвои действия в соответствии с поставленной задачей.
Познавательные УУД: прогнозировать тематику текста по заголовку и иллюстрации; осуществлять осознанное построение речевоговысказывания в устной форме; осуществлятьвыбор наиболее эффективных способов решения задач в зависимости от конкретныхусловий.

a) Inthe second phrase, they organize the material, trying to concentrate theattention on the most important points. After this reporters write theirstories.
b) Finally,a collection of stories or articles that have been chosen for a newspaper or amagazine edition are laid out on trial pages. The chief editor has to approvethe content, style and language of the material. After that the material issent for publishing.
c) Beforewriting an article the reporter has to investigate the events and to interviewthe people. Reporters take notes and also take photographs or shoot videos.
d) Thenthe written story is edited by news or copy-editors, working in twhe news desk.The headline of the story is always decided by the news desk and never by the reporteror the writer of the article. Often the news desk also rewrites some parts ofthe article or changes its style.
Teacher: Read what some Americans say about theirsections. Write down these sections and the names of the newspapers in thetable below.
Steve: “I often read newspapers. My favouritenewspaper is “USA today”. I always find a lot of interesting articles there.But most of all I like to read about sports news.
Danny: “My favourite section in “The New York Times”is about national and international news. I’m interested in politics.
Linda: “Indeed, I like to read articles aboutcultural events. I’m interested in culture that’s why I like to read articlesabout cultural events in “The New York Times”.
Kate: “My favourite papers are “USA today” and “TheNew York Times”, “The Wall Street Journal”. I like them because they arenational papers.
Alexander: “yes, I am interested in business andfinance. I like to read articles on business in “The Wall Street Journal”. Itis a very useful paper.
