There is a popular opinion that travel can bring no benefitto a person other than a rest. Some people think like this, while othersbelieve that traveling can serve as a mean of learning something new. Now Iwould like to express my point of view on this issue.
I strongly believe that travel allows us to learn more newand interesting things about other countries and peoples. To begin with, duringthe trip, we study the culture of the country we came to. Looking at the sightsand going to museums, we learn a lot about the history and art of this country.What is more, we communicate with the locals, which improve our level offoreign language. We can also learn interesting facts from them, which are not availableon the Internet or in books.
Nevertheless, one can consider this problem from anotherangle. There is also passive recreation, when people come to the sea, ocean orother pond and do nothing but swim or sunbathe.
Is spite of this convincing argument, I cannot agree withthis statement, because there are beaches where specially trained people in aloudspeaker tell the history of the resort town. In addition, there are cities,such as Rome, in which you will not be able to engage in passive recreation.
In conclusion, I would like to say that travel expands yourhorizons, because you will learn something new, interesting about the countryyou are in anyway.
